Journal of Progressive Science and Education (abbreviated as JPSA) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal for science education research and related fields. This journal aims to provide a means for sustained discussion of relevant issues that fall within the focus and scope of the journal, which can be examined empirically in various educational domains.

Journal of Progressive Science and Education is an open-access journal containing original research articles, review articles, and short communications in areas related to education and research. Alinea publishes three issues in a year: April (the first issue), August (the second issue), and December (the third issue). This journal has adopted a double-blind reviewing policy whereby the referees and author(s) remain anonymous throughout the process.

Journal of Progressive Science Education Vol. 2 No. 1 Year 2026 contains 8 scientific articles in the field of science education. This issue discusses various topics, including project-based learning in science education, 21st-century skills, coastal ecosystems as science learning resources, problem-based learning based on local potential, students’ learning motivation, discovery learning, computational thinking, the use of PhET Simulations, urinalysis practicum in science learning, and the integration of environmental protection and management law issues into ecology learning. This edition involves 3 affiliations (Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, and Universitas Islam Negeri Madura), with all authors coming from Indonesia.
